East Midlands Shared Services (EMSS) recent decision to no longer provide a managed payroll service to schools, has left many schools and trusts worried about the delivery of their payroll and wondering how best to go about finding a new provider.

We appreciate that this is a worrying time, and would like to reassure you that Dataplan Education is here to help. We have experience in situations like this, moving across schools, maintained and academies, from Local Authorities and Shared Services Providers.

Dataplan Education are a specialist payroll, pension management and HR services provider working exclusively with schools, both Local Authority and Academies/MATs.

We have already moved a number of schools from East Midlands Shared Services, and have an excellent working relationship with them to ensure the smooth transfer of data. We have the resources to scale up our service and take on new payrolls from June 2023.

We are currently offering discounted set up fees for schools that sign up to our service now until the end of April 2023, for implementation slots between June and September 2023. We have assurances from EMSS that schools will be able to move their payrolls as soon as they have found a suitable provide, so there is no issue waiting for the August cessation date.
